About the WCAY Marlins Swim Team

The WCAY Marlins Swim Team is a year round swim team with fall clinic, winter swim team, spring clinic, and summer swim team. The team swims against local Y and swim clubs and has swimmers from 4 years of age to 18 years of age. Each of the swimmers in encouraged to be their best and to support their team by giving their all in the practices and the swim meets.

Meet the Coaches

Andrew Austria

Coach Andrew joined the WCAY in 2011 after 2 years at the Jennersville YMCA with a 13 year swimming career and an additional 13 years of coaching at high schools in Delaware and Pennsylvania. Read more here!

Leslie Seifert

Coach Leslie is in her ninth year with the swim team after many prior years as a swim parent volunteer. She has an extensive fitness and aquatics background and has been with the YMCA for over 20 years.

Matt Snyder

Coach Matt swam competitively for 16 years through high school and college (Widener). He started his coaching with Little Flower Catholic HS and joined the Marlins in the fall of 2009.

Kate Bailey

Coach Kate is a former WCAY swimmer having swam competitively for 12 years. She was a coach and swim instructor at WCAY prior to college and is excited to return

Jacob Cliggett

Coach Jacob swam 5 seasons with WCAY before joining the coaching staff as a mini age-group coach. He is also a WCAY lifeguard and swim instructor.

Nancy Beiswenger

Coach Nancy is in her second season with the Marlins and loves to be on the pool deck with any age group at any time.
